Corn DDGS (India) 50 kg Pack (10 Bags)
Distillers Dry Grains with Solubles (DDGS) DDGS is a feed ingredient suitable for use in livestock, poultry and fish feeds. It is high in protein, fat and energy. Imported from India.
Distillers Dry Grains with Solubles (DDGS) 50 kg. DDGS is a byproduct of the bioethanol industry, which uses dry milling technology for starch-rich grains such as corn, wheat, and barley.
Current interest in bioethanol is increasing due to the need for renewable liquid fuels, especially in the transportation sector.
Because DDGS is rich in crude protein, fat, fiber, vitamins, and minerals, it is currently used as aquaculture, livestock, and poultry feed.
In recent years, DDGS has been used as a feedstock in the production of value-added products through microbial fermentation. Numerous studies have reported the production of organic acids, methane, biohydrogen and hydrolytic enzymes using DDGS.
Although DDGS contains significant amounts of macronutrients. Protein is one of the main nutritional requirements of cattle, which is usually supplemented with soybean meal.
But soybean meal is a vegetable protein with very low trace mineral content, while World Best Class protein is a fermented bacterial protein that is present in DDGS.
DDGS is made mainly from two grains 1. Bhutra – whose protein is 34%-36% and 2. Broken Rice contains about 28 essential elements with protein content of 54%-58% and abundance of Trace Minerals.
Besides meeting the protein needs of cattle, it increases the Conception Rate to a great extent. A lot of molasses is used for Bhutra or Broken Rice fermentation resulting in high DDGS energy content.
Overall, ruminants are a good source of protein and energy. DDGS can be used at 25-30% in fattening cows = 30-35% in cattle rations.
Pre-treatment methods such as chemical, physical and biological in origin are either used singly or combined to obtain maximum yield for various applications.
Therefore, this review summarizes some of the prominent pre-treatment processes that have produced high fermentable sugar yields for the production of value-added products over the past 5 years. A particular focus is given on the effect of variability of DDGS on the final product.
The integration of hydrolytic enzyme production with conventional bioethanol production facilities for further improvement of bioethanol, methane and biohydrogen using DDGS as fermentation feedstock is discussed.
